Kinder Round Up!

Stockton Unified elementary schools will be enrolling kindergarten students for the 2012-14 school year March 4-15. Enrollment is at the schools. Parents should bring identification, proof of address, the child’s birth certificate and immunization record, a copy of the child’s oral health exam, dated since Aug.1, 2012, and a copy of the child’s latest medical exam, dated Feb. 1, 2013 or later. Remember, the schools fill and enrollment priority will be on a first-come basis.
Also, SUSD is expanding the number of Transitional Kindergarten classes for children whose 5th birthday falls between October 2, 2013 and December 2, 2013 (inclusive). For more information call your school or Elementary Education at 933-7040, extension 6410. Start your child’s education out right! Don’t miss enrollment!

We are a Uniform School

This is a reminder that we are a Uniform School.  All students, preschool through 8th grade, are expected to follow the Uniform Policy and dressed in compliance to it.  Students who are not in uniform will receive a Uniform Citation and serve detention.  Uniform compliance begins September 4th!  Violators will receive uniform citations and detentions.

Uniform Policy:

Tops:  Collared polo shirt or t-shirt in solid white, navy blue, emerald green, or maroon.  Black is acceptable for 7th and 8th graders only.  No logo or graphic design allowed.

Bottoms:  Pants, shorts or skirts (at least fingertip length or longer) in navy blue, khaki, or blue denim jeans.  No holes or ripped clothing. Black is acceptable for 7th and 8th graders only.

Fridays are "School Spirit Fridays," and students are encouraged to wear school or magnet logo clothing with jeans.

Please help us in enforcing our uniform policy from home.  Monitor your student's clothing to ensure they meet uniform compliance.

Attendance Counts!

Help us improve our attendance!  There are many students arriving late on a daily basis.  Remember:  Our school start time is 8:40 A.M.  Breakfast is served in the cafeteria from 8:10 - 8:35 A.M., and our first bell rings at 8:35 for students to line up.  Students arriving after 8:40 will be marked as "tardy."  Help us reduce the number of tardies by having your child arrive no later than 8:35A.M.  Thanks for your support!

Accelerated Reader Update

San Joaquin A+ celebrates its 22nd Annual Rotary Read In event, which was hosted throughout schools in Lincoln, Lodi, and Stockton Unified School Districts.  This community event involves members from our community to donate their time to read to preschool through 3rd grade classrooms, and present them with a literature book to add to their library.  On behalf of our school, we would especially like to thank Humphrey's College and Butler Construction for allowing their employees to participate in this event by reading to our students.
